I'm Shannon Montoya, founding instructor of Finally Free Workshops and a Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition® Nutrition Consultant.
For years I struggled with my weight, my emotions and poor self body image. I was on the emotional & physical roller coaster of food obsession and emotional defeat that ranged from starvation/deprivation through Fad diets, Dr. Diets who offered only recommendations detrimental to my health.

I turned to nature and food making a conscious decision to use nature as my personal choice of therapeutic medicine. I studied herbs & supplements, food production & environmental sustainability. I studied food & nutritional physiology, anatomy & physiology. I went to Complementary Cancer Retreats to learn the holistic approaches that were used with great success emphasizing Vegan & Raw foods back in 2000 before it was "Hip & Trendy" and everyone thought I was crazy!!
I did “The Work” and I experimented with food & nutrients; I went deep into my lifelong yearning for a loving relationship with myself, because deep down I had poor self body image that affected my personal & professional life.
I hated my body, even when I lost weight, I still wasn’t happy. I looked deeper studying behavioral science and addiction and realized I was addicted to food (good & bad) and I wanted more than anything to be in good relationship with myself and feel confident in all areas of my life.

It wasn’t until I ditched processed food and took my weight and poor body image to another level with Years of Advanced Education in Holistic Nutrition & Cognitive Behavior Management.
It was with delicious whole foods and the behavioral strategies I learned, that I healed my body, improved my energy and got Finally Free from Emotional Eating and heightened my awareness of addictive behaviors that allows me to make Good Decisions based on my awareness, my goals and my many accomplishments & failures.
After many lifetimes of learning & caring, I know my soul purpose is to alleviate pain & suffering through love and compassion for people, it has been a theme in my life. Week 1
This first week is all about a 30-Day No Sugar Challenge, which takes you out of the cycle of food cravings and sugar addiction fast. You tap into your outer resources and set your environment up for success and learn how to deal with an unsupportive person if you have one in your life. This will give you more energy, mental clarity and feeling in control.
Week 2
You’ll learn how to tap into your inner power. This will give you the courage you need to make the change you desire successfully. You will create an Inner Warrior, a “No Thank You Phrase”, and an Emergency Mantra. These are designed to empower you and move you away from the belief that you can’t... to a place where you know you can.
Week 3
You will discover how you use food to meet your emotional needs and find more fulfilling ways to meet those needs. This is where you separate emotional hunger from physical hunger and discover what you really hunger for in life.
Week 4
You will learn how to separate physical hunger from emotional hunger even further with intuitive eating. No more Atkins, Paleo, or Keto diets. You will tap into your own inner guidance with intuitive eating. Intuitive eating is the art of self governing around food effectively. Week 5
