In the Community
In 2016, The Ukiah Saturday Afternoon Club offered Shannon a grant to participate in Leadership Mendocino, which was the perfect venue for Shannon to meet and introduce herself to the people who together, would ultimately launch the Caring Kitchen Program, that now serves and mentors teens who train & volunteer as kitchen chefs preparing nutrient dense meals for clients who are undergoing cancer treatment in our community and adult volunteers mentor teens and deliver meals for the whole family.
The Caring Kitchen Program is now celebrating its 2nd stellar year serving Mendocino County residents. Shannon has been a volunteer client liaison and is accepting clients and offering workshops to those who are interested in her holistic work.
